The Art of the Champagne Toast

There’s a reason people smile when they hear a champagne cork pop.

Whether it’s celebrating a new home, a big promotion, a company success, or a special life moment, a champagne toast has a way of bringing everyone together. For just a few seconds, people stop what they’re doing, raise a glass, and celebrate something worth remembering.

I’ve performed at hundreds of events over the years, and one thing I’ve learned is that people don’t always remember every detail of an event. What they remember are the moments that made them feel something.

That’s what a champagne toast does.

The sound of the cork popping gets everyone’s attention. People gather around, smile, and get ready to celebrate. It creates excitement and gives everyone a chance to enjoy the moment together.

As many of you know, I’ve been on my own wine journey and recently earned my Level 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). The more I learn about wine, the more I appreciate how it brings people together. Wine isn’t just something you drink—it’s often part of a story, a celebration, or a special memory.

That’s one reason I enjoy combining champagne and magic.

When a champagne toast includes a little surprise, it becomes more than just a toast. It becomes a shared experience. I’ve seen it happen at winery events, corporate parties, client appreciation events, and private celebrations. People laugh, cheer, and often pull out their phones because they know something special just happened.

Those are the moments I love creating.

In a world where we’re always rushing from one thing to the next, it’s important to slow down and celebrate our wins. Big or small, every accomplishment deserves a moment of recognition.

So the next time you hear the pop of a champagne cork, take a second to enjoy it. Chances are, someone worked hard to reach that moment.

And that’s always worth a toast.
