There’s something truly magical about summer in France.

The warm air, the vineyards, the history, the way every glass of wine seems to carry a story before you even take the first sip. Being here in Bordeaux has reminded me that magic isn’t only found on a stage. Sometimes, it’s found in a quiet vineyard, in a perfectly poured glass, or in the moment you realize how much beauty and mystery can live inside one bottle of wine.

As many of you know, I’m not only a magician. I’m also continuing my journey and training as a sommelier, and being here in one of the most legendary wine regions in the world has been an incredible experience.

Bordeaux is known for its wines, but what I love most is the craftsmanship behind it all. Every vineyard has a story. Every bottle has a beginning. Every tasting feels like a small performance  with layers unfolding, surprises appearing, and something ordinary becoming something memorable.

That’s exactly why I’ve always believed wine and magic belong together.

Both invite us to slow down. Both bring people to the table. Both create conversation, curiosity, and that wonderful feeling of, “How did that just happen?”

When I return home to the Bay Area, I’ll be bringing back more than memories from France. I’ll be bringing back new knowledge, new inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the connection between wine, storytelling, and magic.

My Wine & Magic show is all about creating an experience that feels elegant, personal, and full of wonder. It’s not just about watching magic. It’s about being part of a moment…sharing a glass, laughing together, and letting yourself be surprised.

This trip has reminded me that the best kind of magic doesn’t just amaze you. It transports you.

And I can’t wait to bring a little bit of Bordeaux back home.
